Christopher S. Mahan is a dedicated Family and Teen Life Coach, renowned Youth and Family Leadership Speaker, and accomplished Author. After a successful 25-year career in the TV and film industry, Chris transitioned to psychology, focusing on the adolescent mind. Inspired by personal challenges and a desire to help others, he founded Crazy 8 Freedom from 2013 to 2014, a nonprofit aimed at combating teen suicide. Chris also hosts the Lead Your Teen podcast, which has over 100 episodes, where he empowers teens and their families with his insights. He has written "Parental Leadership: 7 Principles to Lead Your Teen in the Digital Age," sharing his expertise to help parents create supportive environments for their children.

The problem is many things but technology and media has been most influential! As humans we are hard wired to protect against negativity/danger (caveperson physchology). So as parents - faced with so much misinformation we over protect our children not realising or appreciating the harm. Statistically, today the world is a much safer place but because we are more informed we overprotect and distill the dangers into our children. We arm them with technology that isolates and so the problem grows
